Tuesday Day Off

Aaron and I were satisfied with the progress we’d made in the last couple of days on our goal this week, so we decided to treat ourselves with a mid-week break in the city (our work week typically starts on weekends). 🙂 Weather was perfect, just coming off a heat wave and Canadian wild fire-triggered hazy days.

I finally paid a visit to the Chicago Starbucks Reserve Roastery (the largest in the world).

Walked the beautiful Chicago riverwalk. And got to see how bridges are repaired over Chicago river.

Bridge repair on Chicago river

Enjoyed some “do nothing” moments, soaking in the breeze and view of the river, the people strolling, magnificent buildings and the reflections of them, and the L passing through every now and then. Wrapped up in the west loop Timeout market, with some cold noodles and beer.
